Help ID a cage?

When I bought my birds it came with this cage that I really like. I want to buy another one (if it's not too expensive), but I haven't had any luck so far finding any that look like this one.

It has 4 slide up feeding doors in the front, and a hinged door toward the top of each end panel. That's 6 doors total, including the large front one.

The bottom grill slides out and the plastic tray at the bottom pulls out also.

The dimensions are about 30-1/4" wide, 18-1/2" deep, and 64" overall height.

The finish is black with grey/silver flecks, not sure how to describe it.

Maybe somebody here can ID this cage?

It looks similar to an A&E flight cage or a HQ flight. I saw one the other day, online, that had the slide up feeding doors, but I'm not sure what brand name the cage had. I found that cage here, I think: expresshttp://www.cagesunder500dollars.com/p-499-cfds ... vider.aspx

The only place I found this cage with the one main door, four feeder doors, and two breeder doors was in Canada, so shipping would kill you. The HQ and A&E single flight cages are similar. They both have two main front doors, no feeder doors, and two side breeder doors. Prices vary quite a bit for these two cages, so shop around--you can often find good deals on them on eBay.

Personally, I like the two main doors in the front. I have an HQ double flight, and it has the single main door on each side of the cage. If I don't slide in the divider, the birds tend to slip out the big door when I have it opened. With the two main doors, I can service the cage from the bottom door, as the birds tend to stay near the top. If I want to catch a bird, I hold a large net in place over the door while I catch the bird with a smaller net.

The HQ model is #13221....I have that and an A&E cage that look like your cage minus the feeder doors. The A&E cage is heavier and constructed so the horizantal bars ar welded on to the outside instead of dropped/inserted into the vertical cross bars. Both cages are ideal and cleaning is a breeze. The A&E has better door locks. Over all I would rather use these than the white breeder cages.

I agree with Sally the bottom door allows easy feeding and cleaning, most of my birds go to the top and wait until I am done.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. I did see those ones that have been mentioned while looking around and will probably end up getting one of those. Wish I could find a matching cage locally, though, or at least in the states.

One thing I really like about this cage (besides the 4 feeder doors!) is the height - meaning the main top cage section is not sitting low to the ground.

One thing I do wish it had is 2 large access doors like those other ones have. But it has the 4 feeder doors!

Well, I'll take a closer look at the ones suggested and make a decision soon, I hope.

As Cindy said, you may look on Ebay and Amazon for used cages. Also, I have been looking to buy another A & E double flight cage and the prices vary quite a bit. The lowest I've found so far was $283.99 and the others were about $297, so not much difference, but some sites offer free shipping, which makes a difference because of the weight.

Linda, if you aren't in a hurry, there will be a bird mart in Temple, TX, on March 17. There will usually be a vendor selling cages, and they often have the HQ or A&E single flight at a decent price. Truthfully, I haven't looked at them in a long time, so don't know how the prices are now, but normally marts are a good deal.

The next mart in Ft. Worth is May 12. Then the guy who puts on the FW mart is now putting on a mart in Richardson on April 14 and Grapevine on May 26. I have no idea what the Richardson and Grapevine marts will be like, as this is new to me. I will try to contact the owner to see if these are bird marts or pet marts (pet marts in our area have not been a source for finches).

I got most of my cages from craigslist--I used to check it several times a day, so I could jump on a new listing. And I just got lucky on some of them.

Thanks again everyone! I love all the suggestions and pointers to the best buys. I didn't even thinnk about bird shows, so I may wait for one of those to come around, thanks for that. I'm still going to check out all the links, though, just because March is so far away...

Thank you for the lead. I contacted the seller to ask a couple questions but, unfortunately, by the time I finally got the answers the auction was over. Oh, well.

I'm really not in a big hurry so I'll just keep looking for an awesome deal online. Or maybe I'll wait for a bird show as someone else suggested.
