Male Zebra trying to build a nest.
I have two male Zebras and the dominant one looks like he's trying to build a nest, he flies his millet stem up to the same corner and tugs at the string that hold his bath up like he's trying to move it. I can buy him a little nest, but what about giving him the materials to build his own? Is that a good idea, and if i do buy a nest, should i get them one each? They are in a cage btw.

Re: Male Zebra trying to build a nest.
Personally, I do NOT let non breeding birds have nests, especially zebras.
All my non-breeding birds are in same sex cages, to control population growth.
A nest "sometimes" puts them into breeding mood, and they sometimes get aggressive to their cagemates.
Sometimes they just get more buddy buddy.
Sometimes the dominate birds starts to pluck the other bird for nesting material (feathers).
Sometimes they behave like they want a female to mate with.
And the hens will do similar to other hens.
