Full Spectrum Lighting

Post by txstitcher » Fri May 11, 2012 11:36 am

I'll be setting up my first cage and want to ensure proper lighting. The birds will be along the same wall as the large center (and only) window in the room.

I already own a Dazor light and an Ottlite, but am not sure these are full spectrum lights and appropriate for the birds.

Help!

What I have found that works well for me is I changed the bulbs in my main light in the bird room with full spectrum bulbs purchased at Menards for $4 - $5 per bulb. They are CFL's and supposed to last longer.
