New Drinking Station Issue
I got a drinking bathing station, but my finches don't seem to be going to it. I wonder if it is because it is black. I have gouldians in this aviary.

Has it been up there very long? I think you just have to give them time. Some of my Gouldians don't like to bath and some do......Nice cage setup!

I agree - give them time (but make sure they have access to other water while they get used to this new one.
Also, is there any chance of switching out those dowels for real natural branches?
Nice large space they have there!

I'm sure they will use it once they get up the courage to investigate. Be sure they can get water elsewhere in the mean time.
Your aviary looks great!
good luck

Re: New Drinking Station Issue
None of you think its because of the color being black?

Re: New Drinking Station Issue
I don't see why the black color would make a difference. Wouldn't most water holes be dark colored in the wild?

I think it just something new that they will get used to in a couple of days.

Not sure how they drink in Australia.
I have a fake tree in the corner that you cannot see that they like to play in. I like wooden dowels because they are easy to keep clean.
