Redoing birdroom....

Post by cindy » Sun Jul 01, 2012 11:22 am

Redid my bird room. Caught up owls from two different flights, trimmed nails, banded young, put them in homing cages. Then scrubbed and cleaned everything in their flights. Great fun trying to catch up 20 some owls.....one young male sang to me while I caught up his cage mates!

Did this for all my finches....redid the room to make it easier. Waters in the same place on all cage. Just need to add feeders and lighting for everyone.

Looking good there!!! I like the idea of having everything in the same place in each cage. I think I will go thru my cages and do the same thing.

Sherry, it makes it easier for someone to care for them if I go out of town or they are babysitting the birds for me..

Looks good, Cindy. On putting things in the same place on each cage -- I did the same thing when I thought I might be leaving town for a little bit. It just makes things easier.

Don't you just love it when your owls sing -- they are such funny, cheerful little guys! :)

Anna..I have two young males in two separate flights that sing no matter what, you can be cleaning, feeding or trying to catch them and they sing. While trying to catch them I was thinking "don't you know I am after you and this is not the time for a serene!"
