Cleaning silk plants

Post by LadyG » Wed Oct 31, 2012 8:33 pm

I noticed a lot of people here use silk plants in their cages. How do you clean them when they get poopy?
Beginner looking to learn as much as possible before buying birds. Please be patient :)

Paper towles and a diluted mixture of white vinegar and water. I use zip ties so once in a while I remove the silk plant, replace with a clean one and soak the dirty one in bleack and water, scrub a bit, rinse really well, sund dry...when dry they are stored until I need to replace the one in the cage.
