Your animals are adorable. What type of finches do you have? I have zebras, orangecheek waxbills, bronze wings, gouldians, societys and a pintail whydah.
Society Finches, Fire Finches, Strawberry Finches, Owl Finches, Plum Head Finch, Goldbreast Waxbill Finches, Orange Cheek Waxbill Finches, Blue Capped Cordon Finches, Zebra Finches, Bronzewing Mannikin Finches, Red-Cheek Cordon Blue Finches, and Button Quail

I have a pair of white society's,a pair of the brown and cream society's,some black cheek zebras, orange cheek zebras and a pair of diamond doves.
I would love to have some of the more fancy finches but I don't have a heated aviary and I worry that if I get some I would be out of my depth. I love owl finches and gouldians. That's what I would have if I had the nerve.

I wouldn't do that, I know I can't have gouldians. I do worry about my zebras in the winter. I have a sheltered part they can go inside and I also put clear plastic round the avery to keep the wind off for the winter.

Out of interest, I'm not thinking of doing it, are there any other types of finches that are hardy to an English winter?
