What eats bird poop? Natural clean-up crew??

I figure that there must be some insect, somewhere, that is happy to digest bird poo. Like Dung Beatles for cow dung. Is there such a critter that can safely assist with natural aviary maintenance?!?

the only insect or sorts that I can think of which may be of help with aviary maintenance can be found every time that you look in a mirror.
