I just saw the pictures of your DREAM AVIARY!!! Your husband is a gem  . It must feel like Christmas morning, every time you sit down to watch your finches enjoy this masterpiece...Some day, when my hubby finally realizes that finches are way more than a "hobby" to me, he will hopefully build one for our birds [-o< . He has amazingly able hands like your hubby...Thanks for sharing your pics and expertise! Love learning from you :)

Thank you!! My husband took his time in planning and purchasing the materials needed. He planned it out so that if we ever move or want to place it say on the lania it can be unscrewed and moved as panels and easily put back together.

We often just stand and watch the bourkes in it. I actually clean it, replace the kiln dried pine on the bottom and sit in it for a bit letting the tamer bourkes and owls come near. It is amazing to have them so close, one little bourke is always trying to climb on me or comes a bit to close when I am cleaning...a few time I had to pick him up to move him, he is a bit pesky and curious at times.

I have 5 ft long flight for scarlets and one reserved for the javas during resting periods from breeding and for the young to mature in.
