God is my redeemer and it is through Him I have found eternal happiness. I am grateful, I am blessed, and I am truly loved. I wish all this and more for all members of our finch forum family. May you all be blessed and highly favored. <3

I have recently purchased an exactly similar used cage (in excellent condition) for $70 from craigslist.
I love Gouldian Finches.

lou that's total height; with stand. From floor to top of cage.

I ordered the F050 (37" wide) Tue or Wed & it arrived Thurs. $173; good buy. I'm having fun setting it up. Will make 2 apartments; should be a great breeding cage with lots of room for each pairs clutches.
Sam; you were lucky to get such a good buy on Craig's List; I look all the time but don't find anything in my area.

Something I wish I would have done when I put the F050 (same would apply to F040).
Instead of installing the 2 sides with TWO doors on the top half & 2 sides with ONE door on the bottom half as the instructions tell you to do, I wish I would have made the apartments with one side with 1 door & the other side with 2 doors; each apartment would them have 3 doors total on the sides. See what I mean :?:

I did just happen to stop at a garage sale yesterday & picked up a brand new plastic tray (for the bottom of a dog crate) for ONE BUCK. Had to cut off a little on one side, but it fits perfectly now as the floor for the upper apartment. I have 2 metal grids tie wrapped on each side to support the tray.

I will still be making heavy vinyl "boxes" to fit into each apartment to keep the mess INSIDE the cage. 8)

I have two of these coming on the 5th but I have a question I have 2 pairs of Green singers and was wondering could I put both pairs in one of the new F040 cages.
Do you think they would fight?
