I've got a pair of zebra finches in a cage 30x17x32 inch. My friend offers me another pair. I know that cage is big enough for 2 pairs, but my male has a cripled leg, he is fine but in case of any problems with other male he can't run fast out of trouble.
Friends finches are in too small cage and I feel sorry not to take them but is it wise to put them with my finches because of my injured male?

Re: Housing 2 pairs of zebra finches
My personal opinion is that it is not a good idea, not only because of the leg injury, but also because of the unpredictable/often aggressive nature of zebra finches. If you really want to take them, you could buy a Petco flight cage (30x18x18) on Amazon for a good price and house them separately.

I agree with Rachel on this one. The male with the disadvantage may be targeted by the other male. It would be best to house them separately.

Re: Housing 2 pairs of zebra finches
Two pairs of zebras are likely to go beserk with fighting over territory and partners and just any little thing they can come up with to fight over. Best, if you want to take them, to get another cage, Petco has them on sale for $37 usually (their 30"x18"x18" standard cage), and if you add in some food or other accessories and reach $49, shipping is free.
Zebras are listed as "pushy", but really, they should be in with aggressive, or in their own category of "Psychotic".

They can be, one is always the odd one out. One female may stake her claim to the male and make life miserable for the other...best to keep pairs separate in a cage.
Large, huge flights (I use 5ft long, 3 high) with two to three pairs up to 4 pairs is fine as long as you have a lot of space for them to get away an keep distance between the pairs. Some stake out "territories", in that case multiple feed an water stations may be necessary.
Same sex cages is another option and only pair up the males and females come breeding time
