Ginene Hmmm...I don't know what might be the problem with viewing the photos. Unfortunately, they are from my iPhone and not the best photos anyway. Probably need to clean the camera lens! lol
The top, bottom, and back is made with 3/4" plywood. The other structure is made with 1x2" boards. I made a small table out of 4x4s and 1x5"s (with 1x2 supports underneath).
Overall, it's a very simple design, and would be especially cheap for those fortunate few with extra wood bits lying around. Wood is so expensive! By the time you add up all the wood trim, it gets kind of pricy. Even so, I think it costs quite a bit to buy a double-flight cage, and so you can build something much bigger and (in my opinion) more aesthetic.
This aviary is the most functional of all my cabinets so far. It has a pullout tray, a pull out bottom grate, and I installed some clear acrylic guards on the side. No seeds on the floor so far! I love it and I think the birds do too. It's buzzing with activity and very entertaining to watch. Only the male twinspot is still smacking into the plexiglass. I think he may be attacking his reflection? Idk. Everybody else seems to get it except him.
