Well thanks, today had 5 hours in work without interruptions..... always when you get started something happens and you stop........ so today I said no, today in mine, and the roof needs building so, made the rear inspection hatches, the rests, the extra wicker basket holder, put in ribs and cross members etc, it takes a lot of time and work and all glue needs to be washed away for contamination.

Here some more pics, the finished sides and back and front also, with custom bath with canopy to stop poooooooo poooooooooooooo.

Aw, what a bummer on the eggs.
I was hoping you'd have babies.

This is looking fabulous!
I can't wait to see it when it's all finished!

You're a very handy fellow, eh?
I can barely assemble a bird cage, never mind making one!

I'm the type who always ends up with "extra parts" (when there aren't supposed to be extra parts!) For instance, when I tried to assemble a canopy bed, I ended up with tons of extra parts. The entire thing came crashing down in the middle of the night!
Good times, good times.
Humum to....
13 Zebra Finches....and 2 squeeps!
3 Society Finches
6 Gouldians
1 Weaver
1 Pintail Whydah
2 Cockatiels
2 Parakeets

....along with 1 MinPin, 1 Pug, 1 JRT, 1 Yorkie, 2 Chihuahuas and 15 cats.

Well I tell you this, just keep square all the time and you will steer right, ( carpentry). I am very careful of power tools, any mechanical tool is not your friend, my mate he was building a structure on the farm, the drill had a quarter bit in it, the drill was on the floor, he was busy working and bent down, his knee pushed the drill start button, the bit was against his overall leg next to his other knee, it in a split second caught his clothing, pulled through and drilled right through his leg above the knee, the bit BROKE OFF inside his leg!................ it was a nightmare, so I am mighty careful with anything mechanical. BUT building your own stuff is an achievement, and you enjoy the little feathered ones nicer

Just to do the one door safety catch again as I am not happy with it and the cage is done. Finished the roof today and took some pics of the family.

Well put the roof on, it needs to all be bolted together, but this is the end product, pretty nice, a LOAD of flight areas, holes, hiding places, bath with pooooo roof, one photo don't show inspection hatches very well, this picture is without the floor bolted on. So, as soon as summer arrives we will transfer the little feathered friends. So, looks kinda neat. Must just fit corner platforms as I notice Zebs like to sit at corners often.
