Finished and moved in

Post by Bobw » Thu Sep 25, 2014 12:11 pm

Just sharing...

So I built an 8' wide x 12' long by 8' tall flight in my basement and got everyone moved in except for the Black & White Manikin pair and a pair of BCBB zebra's that have babes in the nest. The Black & White Manikin pair are in a flight that I am having a little trouble catching them in but as soon as I get them, in they will go. The zebras and societies settled right in on the food bowl and completely made a mess of it but they are now used to dining and dashing so the bowl is staying cleaner. Before I built it, I added a pair of parrot finches and two pairs of Gouldians to my collection and they are actually the bossier ones in there showing the zebras who is boss.

I painted everything black inside because I like they way their colors show up when the lights are on and also so I can see where I need to clean up.

It's a big house, even kind of dark since you put it in the basement. What kind of light are you using? It's white color to me looks like the fluorescent light.

I would guess it is fluorecent ( Full Spectrum) lighting, seems how it's in the basement and possibly no windows.
