What do you think?

Post by Harley2013 » Sat Jan 10, 2015 6:19 pm

I temporarily placed olive and Franklins cage in our room due to really having no room right now, but they are by window. However, glass is double panes and I have doubled up fleece covering backside of cage to block out cold from window or drafts. Do you think the will be ok like this?

Tammie the birds should be fine there. If you're cold by the window they are cold by the window. If you're really worried about them and they appear lethargic and fluffed up I'd give them a lamp or something that could provide heat.

Thank you. I will keep a close eye on them and their body language. I feel fine by the window. Just wasn't sure about them, but I will watch. The back side of the cage is covered at night with doubled fleece.

They can tolerate cold better than drafts. Since you have placed a fleece cover at the back, that should protect them from any drafts. A heat lamp at one end of the cage will help during the day.

Agreed. Harley2013 was asking if his birds would be protected from cold/drafts by that window, nothing to do with supplements.
