Recommended Water feeders for 1/2" mesh

Post by J-Netty » Wed Dec 24, 2014 12:41 am

Hey, everyone

I'm having a heck of a time finding water feeders that don't leak or that aren't dangerous. The problem is that I have the 1/2" stainless steel square mesh.

Things I've tried:
Anyone having any advice for me?

Thanks,

Jeanette

Whatever you tried, is not coming through, all I get is a blue dot, lol.

Can you bend the wire a little in the places where you normally place the water containers? 0r maybe just get the plastic seed dishes with the wires on the back ( although that would not be practical because they'll put stuff in the water).

I only see a dot also. Try posting your photos again. This is a good question. I'd like to see how everyone serves up fresh water in their flights and aviary. (and keeps it fresh and clean).
Thanks!

Hi Jeanette i have been useing Edstrom automated watering system whitch i think is the best for the health of the bird's always clean water and no hassle of cleaning dishes everyday. I was the first one in my club in NY 14 yr's ago and many followed me shortly after. Mine in NY was hooked straight to my home plumbing with a pressure reducer to slow the flow its like what they call a likit waterer for dog's outside they just touch the little pin and water come's out most take to it in 24 hour's every once in awhile i go into birdroom and touch it to show them they can also smell the water but within a day there are all drinking fine. Now i am just getting back into the bird's and bought a small startup kit come's with a bucket hose and 4 waterer's with clips to attach to cage. Hope this help's you i know ya bird's will be healthy from it and you can go on a 10 day vacation without worrying just leave alot of food for them. Not sure if you're looking for a large waterer for an aviary, or something smaller for a normal cage/flight, but I use the JW Clean Water Silo and really like it. I bought it at petco for 5ish dollars. It comes in a couple sizes. I think it would be pointless for a large aviary, but I have a couple on my double flight.
