Twine and/or Hemp

Post by GouldieFledge » Thu Apr 21, 2016 11:29 am

I prefer a natural look to my cages, so I try to avoid any plastic/metal. I'm making a swing for my gouldians that I think they'll really like, but I need a way to hang it. I'm think about using either twine or hemp pieces to tie it to the ceiling so it can physically swing.

Are these materials safe for finches? I'm pretty sure I have both lying around my house.

I have used twine to hang small grapevine wreaths in cages as swings, never had a problem with it.
