Lovely aviary. neatly done and love how its tucked in between plants / garden.
I've kept finches with a variety of quail in the past. Never had an issue except they would devour tossed pink hatchlings. But just keep an eye on the situation. Be sure to leave low perches for weaker fledglings so they can hop out of reach.
I am unsure where you are situated. Finches can handle hot and cold. Draughts kill them. So protection from this is needed. Healthy birds will tolerate a fair amount of weather, but a sick bird will decline quickly if they don't have a protected space to get to.
The warming box you mentioned is a good idea as well as the covering of at least 3 sides from weather in winter.
I once just covered the top third of my aviary sides and I was amazed at what a difference it made.
Our first aviary.
