Thank you for posting that picture Chris. That is my dream finch. I have only seen one and it was in an aviary at a hospital He was beautiful and I haven't forgot him.

Hopefully one day. I have never seen one at a bird mart. They must be pretty rare.

well in Aust they are common. the 1 in the pic is the hen and the cock is a little less pied than that. i bought the pair for $300 aus dollars which is the average price for the heavy pied ones but for light -medium pieds you can get them for around $200-250 pr. i think my pair are starting to nest only having putting them in the new flight after a week. and by the looks me pytillias and pied cordons are starting to build nest after putting them in on wednesday.
