It didn't take long...

Post by Zebra Finch Fan » Sun Nov 08, 2009 7:00 am

Well it's fair to say I couldn't help myself, 2 weeks in, and the birds are getting a new home.

You can see the current accomodation next to the new mansion.

The hard part is, figuring out what type of company to give them.

Yay! A convert! :D Those small cages really aren't good for any bird, and finches are so active, they need as much room as you can give them. Your finches will thank you! One suggestion: I would take out some of the perches, and add a swing. In my cages that are a similar size, I usually have two perches running from front to back, one high and one low, and one cement perch with the water tube next to it, plus a swing--leaves them more flying space.

If it was mine I would tie a load of fir branches in a top corner to give them somewhere to hide when they need to.Decent size though....

Hi,
Great huge cage you've got there =D> . Im sure the zebs will love it. If you are planning to breed them, they generate a lot of company :D !!!

Looks great, those natural branches are the best thigs for their feet...also helps wear the nails down so no clipping is required. I use this size cage for young to grow out in. One pair will have a ton of room... :D Mine are holding about 20 birds each cage to give everyone an idea of the great spac your pair will have, plenty of room to spread their wings :D
