Are you thinking WAY ahead or weren't you going to have to have knee replacement? Was that you I was thinking said that at one time???

Congrats on this. I know it has been something you wanted for a long time. So happy for you!!!!!! =D>

You are so funny, and I am so happy to know there are other's who are as crazy over this stuff as myself!!! Congats, it will be so much fun. I often draw floor plans just doodling at night in bed of how my dream birdroom would look.

what we bought my Nanna for when she visits us, is a shower chair? You just put it in the shower and have a rail to hold onto to get into it?

Oh....and I even negotiated a nice extra wide shower unit for the bathroom with a low step-in with the reasoning that we may have to fit a wheel chair in there in the future but I am really thinking ahead so I can roll my cages in there to wash them in the Winter if I need to. I don't think Hubby even suspects my motive....hehehe....My Bad!

LOL! That sounds like something I would do :) Good for you!

I do hope your surgery goes well.

UPDATE:

Hello All.....with building a retirement house it has been hectic to say the least but I just wanted to drop in and share with you the progress of my Bird Room.

The first photo is the Bird Room framed up looking in from the doorway. And the second photo is a view of the whole house. The Bird Room is on the far left where the bump-out is. And we made the entry into the main door and from the garage a "No Step" so it will be easier to roll the cages outside to wash and of course easier for us too as we get older.

It is so exciting and I can't wait to see the Bird Room all finished...and the rest of the house too of course!

Thanks for looking.

P.S. I see the first pic shows up too skinny (at least on my computer)....click on the photo to see it in the proper width.

My husband and I are in the process of buying a house now, I wish I could talk him into having one of the bedrooms all to my birds hahaha, maybe one day!
