I had one of my star finches in a smaller cage, but recently got him a flight cage, similar to your pictured, and he loves it! He still free flies in the room,. but he doesn't try to now get out EVERY single time I put my hand in the cage to change water, food etc. The more space, the better as far as finches are concerned.
