Fancie Flight wrote:Shoot I could almost ship a horse for 60.00 lol

I guess it seems high because my cages are 3 stacks with stands and I paid less thna 100.00 per set and no shipping. I must be spoiled, lol

And Sally I know your right on the RAISE the shipping part I have friends who sale none stop and thats exactly what they do,

Its depressing to pay 50.00 shipping and see they actually spent 5.38 lol

Im sure for the cages its probably maybe kinda sorta almost actual shipping though, lol
I wouldnt mention shipping a horse for $60 with FH hanging around

Your right about the shipping too, I can't stand to pay $5 for something and then spend $50 for shipping.

Fancie Flight - I want you to send ME a mini horse. There is a local ad for minis here, with a gorgeous paint, and I asked my sisters to buy it for me but they said no. I know I am in the suburbs but I figured I could tell people it was a Great Dane.

I personally don't order off eBay...the price of the object is satifactory but the shipping is, well...YIKES!!

I either use craigslist or buy directly from a store. No shipping for me. My dad hates shipping too; he'd much rather drive to the store to buy the object. :D

Does anyone know where I can get breeding cages for a reasonable price ?

This thread's Ebay cages is not available anymore. I checked out
http://www.birdandcage.com/flight.html

Is there any place that I could buy breeding cages for gouldians ?

Hmm, seems like Bird and Cage Co. is shut down. That is where I got my economy cages when I first expanded my finch collection. Do you live in an area that has bird shows or marts? Our local mart always has at least one vendor, if not more, selling cages.

cage fromEbay

Post by BillD » Sat Sep 13, 2008 10:02 pm

Think I purchased the same or similar cage off Ebay. I got the double wide 60"w x36" t x 18" d

My concern is that it came from China. Is there lead in the paint they used to coat it?

I don't have it all set up yet. Purchased the stands with it, but I have lazy felines around and i'm not sure the stands are tall enough to keep them off it. I'll let you know if you are interested.

I don't have any finches yet and I would like to start off with Star and Owl finches when I get everything set up.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.
