Is it ok to have my finches drink out of the birdbath?

For questions about finch enclosures (cages & aviaries).

It's kind of like your dogs having a nice, clean bowl of water in the house, and they go outside and drink out of a mud puddle. My birds have both bathtubs and water tubes, and they will drink out of both.

Hmm...I do think animals (including ourselves) are a bit more durable than we give them credit for, but changing water every 10-14 days sounds like too long to me. What does "that many sick birds" mean? If you changed the water more regularly maybe you would have nearly zero sick birds.

I don't think its that big of A problem to change the water A couple times A day in a few cages and a aviary, thats what I have done for several years, somtime's they get changed more often if needed.
If I am not mistaken fincher uses A watering system for their drinking water, which don't get dirty like when its in a bowl
