I had some extra pieces of linoleum left over. They are going under the main perches.

Looking good!

You'll definetly want to rotate your plants in and out of the birdroom. The birds will have them shredded in no time. :D

Thanks!
I am planning on rotating plants. The ones I put in yesterday are from my kitchen. My gf got me a huge schefflera. I am also going to put in a hanging basket planter or two.

I've ordered once from Singing Wings and had no problems.

Word of warning about an air filter - somebody posted on one of the yahoo groups that they left their filter running while out of town for a couple of days and it malfunctioned. Over half the birds were lost. So just be sure to keep an eye on it!

I'm jealous - wish I had a room I could dedicate to my birds!

hi vetbridge
i really think that you need something over that window as birds are likely to fly straight into it if there is no wire covering it

Ken, if you look closely you will see there is a mini blind on the window. It's just been pulled up all the way to the top. I'm sure they'll lower it before the birds are moved in.

Yep, the blind is up so I can see. Until I installed the new light fixture, it was pretty dim in there.

hi vetbridge
as i said i am only thinking of the birds safety...are those heaters round the bottom if so you may have to make some kind of board for the birds to alnd on as they may be a little hot for thier feet

It looks like the kind of heating system that just blows out warm air, they don't actually heat up like a radiator does.
