One of my friends has just texted me and asked if I wanted to have a female black headed-white breast Gouldian :D, I said yes but maybe next week cuz I am kinda busy now and his house is really far from mine, I just can't manage my time :D
about the zebras, if I want, I can get a pair of normal gray for free, and if I want to buy, fawn and white are always available in stores, I want a pair of black cheek or dominant silver, but maybe after all I will go for white or normal gray, or both(:P)
Strawberries are in my waiting list and I am as eager as you  , whenever they're available, the store owner will call me, so just wait :D
2 vietnamese greenfinches, 2 gouldians, 2 javas, 5 strawberries. and still try to have more :D

That new aviary looks great! Hope the reality turns out as awesome as your drawing. Makes me wish I could afford something like that for my zebs!

HoangQuan you have beautiful birds. I really like your new aviary plan. It uses the space so well.
Good luck on having it all built and getting the birds you want to fill it!

Hi Ria, my brother called me and he said the new aviary cost about 70$ :), So I think it's not so expensive that we can't afford for our birds, right? :)
I saw some shafttails available for about 40$ per pair, I never keep them before but do think that's a good price, yes I know they can be aggressive but in the aviary with larger sized birds like mine maybe they will not have anyone to bully :p. what do you think? should I go for it? :)

I personally have found my shaftails to be no more agressive than the zebras.....the only time they act out is to protect their nest...which is only natural. :D

So I decided not to buy the shaftails :)
Some little update:
Those Javas begin to show that they're interested in each other :P, cute! :P
Image

I got another black headed Gouldian from my friend like I said before, but this female is older than my male one, she's almost finished the molt but still had some pin feathers left, and I think she needs nails fix, look at her feet >"<
Image

since the female came along, my little boy was very excited, he sings everytime :)
Image

cute couple, after taking a bath together :P
Image

So far by now, there's no fight between the two, and they started to sleep together in the nest, hope I will finally get something done right this time with the Gouldian :). The Weather focast said that in the next days the temp can be as low as 19 celcius, so I must still keep them in small cage with heat lamp for at least 1 month before consider about letting them flying in the aviary :)

My bro called me again. The new aviary was, basically, finished and we'll start putting it up together this friday(yay!)
Tonight Im gonna stay up late and catch all the birds to smaller cage :D

Hey guys I've just visited my local bird store
and see what I found :D:D:D

there're about 16 strawberries there, and the prize is 120vnd(~7$) per pair. Too bad I didnt tend to go out looking for birds, so I only had enough money to get 2 male and 1 female :).
Im so happy now :D, maybe I'll go back there tomorrow to bring some more home :).
and sorry for the bad quality of the photos, I was using my phone by then :)
