When dividing my flights I avoid cumbersome dividers by wiring the lower section and just dividing the upper...it doesn't restrict their flight much as most of them use the top half more than the lower anyway....unless of course you keep Quail.

Got all of the mesh attached today! All of the open spots on the front and side will be doors. I still have to build the doors, put in the floor, and the rest of the back wall.

Very nice!!! Can't wait to see it completed. Are you doing a solid back?

You are inspiring me...I am thinking of doing a large corner flight in one of our back rooms which will maybe soon will become my bird room!

Yes, it's hard to see in the photo but most of the back is pegboard. The bottom 5 inches of each level will be whiteboard? I was planning on all pegboard, but I will have leftovers from the whiteboard sheets I am using for the floors, so I am using those, rather than buying a second piece of pegboard for the back.

Here it is, finally done:

Front doors open on three of the four units; through the open doors, you can see the end doors on the top left unit. Each set of doors can be opened independently, so I can access the whole cage, but minimize escape possibility.

With top divider out:

The floors on both of the top units can also be removed (together or separately), to make bigger unit(s).

And, finally, in the new house!!

Normal and FS zebras:

The owls:

The BC zebras:

They went in yesterday. The owls explored almost immediately. The BCs mated right in front of us within 30 seconds of going in. The other zebras were much more mellow and quiet for a bit, but eventually started exploring. Today they were all thoroughly enjoying their new pads.
