I want ones like that for my parrotlets. I love that twisty look!CandoAviary wrote:For thick ones you can attach screws with washers and butterfly nut. You can either drill a hole and glue the shank or I like the double threaded shanks, wood screw on one half and machine thread on the other.
Here are a few whopper grapevines I sell at the store. These are really nice to bolt to the top of the cage and let hang down...or bolt so that it mounts on top like a play paerch when outside the cage...of course for the bigger birds![]()

The smaller ones are cut into different lenght sand smaller bolts are used

Re: Grape Vine Perches?
My grandpa has cut a lot of the pear and plum tree, and alot of the grapevines.. I can make 100's of natural perches now, and clean them up and bake them to kill any bacteria. BUT where to send them!?

Re: Grape Vine Perches?
Send them to anybody who needs them. Ria, I can make you some this weeknd, but they are too thin for gear. I might be able to make some larger ones for small parrots. I am going to make a variety of grapevine, pear, and plum this weekend

sounds awesome! definitely a great way to earn some extra cash, and recycles stuff that would otherwise go to trash or fire.
maybe I need to start a bird business...
