I'm looking forward to the pics I hope you will post here.. I'm like you.. taking my time to build my indoor aviary. Want it to be a nice place for my finches.mickp wrote:Bill, I am taking my time with this aviary as I do not plan on putting any birds into it until late august or early september. give the plants a chance to become established
I'll post some pics when I can finally get started on mine.
2 polydactyl Snowflake felines and a new Panther non-poly feline.. Working on building the bloodline of the local Fawn Owls.

finally took a couple more pics.
the back wall and one end wall are complete and the tin has had a coat of paint. have started to get some of the roof on, bout a third of the way on that so far. the bottom piece of wire is in place on the front of the aviary.
the green lines you may see in the pics are tensioning cables. they are there so that when I put in the heavy wire for the plants to climb on it will be easier to keep the wire fairly tight. still have a hell of a lot of work to do though.

here are a couple of pics of how it is looking after a busy weekend. actually starting to look like an aviary.
what looks like a window on the left of the pics is going to be an access door to where I plan to put the feed station, will be able to feed and water the birds without entering the aviary.
this is the view from what will be the door
