A note on the Daisy fountain--it splashes quite a bit. I had put one in a flight cage that measures 40"x30", but will have to pull it. This cage has a metal 40x30 tray, and I am using aspen shavings. The shavings are getting and staying wet, and I'm afraid the metal tray will start to rust. So if you are using any bedding in your flight or aviary, you might want to reconsider with this fountain. On a tile, linoleum, or concrete floor, it would not be a problem.

I have not had a problem with splashing..... until those crazy parrot finches get in and "slpish, splash" up a storm. The other day I caught the 2 youngsters hanging onto the daisy flower area and frinking from the surge...just like a person drinking from a water fountain. I will have to get a picture of that.
As with any bird bathing they usually splash a lot. This is why I use linoleum in my inside aviaries and concrete in the outside aviaries.

With shavings or corncob it would be a royal mess The one aviary I use carefresh bedding in I have a deep sided rock fountain. The only water the carefresh gets is what drips off the bird when leaving the fountain. This type of bedding dries quickly and doesn't mold.
If the fountain was splashing water out without birds bathing maybe you had the water level too high or low? You need to have enough water in it to cover the punp intake but mine operate great about half to 3/4 full.
The linoleum usually dries fairly quickly, if not I keep a sponge mop handy.
