Great news Monique, thanks!

Diane, it's a preformed acrylic water feature. It just came like that.

That's amazing! My favourite thing about the forum is seeing people's aviaries.

I love your aviary with your plantings and the water feature too! We have talked about waterfalls and fountains, etc. in the past on the FF. How often do you have to clean yours?

I'm a little worried about what you're going to do when you move to SA... are you going to leave all your finches behind? I hope a bird lover moves in there to take over your wonderful aviary!

Thanks for sharing and all the pictures -- I agree with whoever said they can't show their finches or there would be a revolt!

I really love the idea that they can come inside as well, too.

Thank you for your kind words Anna.

I don't clean my water feature. I have put a lot of gravel at the base so that water has to travel through it. In time this has been colonised by bacteria that keep the water clean and healthy. I just change part of the water by overfilling the pool at the bottom every 2 to 3 days.

I'm building a new aviary as well, but I can't seem to find any sources from which to purchase 1/2" plastic mesh- not plastic coated. This is indoors so it's safe. Any suggestions? The only "home-depot" store around here is called Menards and they only sell galvanized, so I'm looking for an online seller.

Thanks,
Austin
