Re: Do you have an aviary?
I had a large aviary back in the mid 90s to early 2000s and sold hundreds of zebra finches to local pet shops. I would sell them for five dollars each and still do. Now i only have two flight cages made by Prevue.

My long awaited aviary is finally up! Photo and videos here: http://finchstuff.com/aviaries.aspx
Now I just have to fill it with all of the colourful finches everyone recommended. The Zebbies don't show up much!

Very nice!
These conectors kits are what I would like to use someday. I would like to hook at least 3...if not 5 together with catch door walkways conecting each one.

There is a password? Do you know how we can look at those pics? Thankskenny wrote:hi all
my aviary was built because i had a new birdroom and a storage shed and i left the gap in between the two so i could make a purpose built avairy which turned out to be 15ft wide by 6ft 6ins high and 8ft back to front as i said i built it from scratch with an indoor space for the winter and a solid door to get into the aviary from the outside with a wire door to get into the aviary so i would not lose any birds here is a link to a few of my photos

this is the first picture i took when i started the aviary i am afaid the rest are not in chronological order

Re: Do you have an aviary?
Last year, I started an outdoor aviary, but did not finish as we had a terrible heat wave here in Texas and a local breeder lost most of her flock of finches from that heat wave, so I stopped construction for the time being, so I could problem solve weather issues. Now, I wonder if there is a way to finish this aviary that will allow for shelter from heat, wind, storms, hail, and cold, yet allow them the sunshine and outdoor experience? Is there such a thing?
