I just purchased a new flight cage in black. But it has white
seed cups. I was wondering if anyone knew if you could
dye these with RIT dye safely. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't think it would be wise to dye seed/water cups. Putting water in the cup may not be such a healthy thing for the birds, why chance it. I have read RIT does not list all the active ingredients on the box, knowing that I would not risk my birds health for the appearance of the food cups. Also if you clean them in bleach and water or soapy water the color would leach out...if the plastic would even take the dye to begin with.

Not sure how long the dye would stay on with all the scraping of nails and beaks, anyway.

Plus there are different types of RIT Dyes - both toxic and non-toxic (but what the non-toxic pertains to, I don't know).

I think you should contact the RIT company directly and ask them.
