This is the newest cage I got - the ONLY one I could find in my town! LOL!

How many Zebra or Society finches do you think would be a comfortable fit in there?

I have this cage, and I love it. Right now, I have five St. Helena's waxbills in there (lost one of my males). I don't have a lot of experience with Zebras, so six Zebras (3 pairs) might do some squabbling, but I'm sure you could keep 3 pairs of Societies in there, if that's what you want. If you don't want breeding, you could keep all males or all females.

You can also try using the bird calculator linked in the Finch Information Center on the left side of your screen.

That gives you a "ball park" idea of how many finches would fit in any sized cage/aviary.

PS - that's a GREAT looking cage! =D>

I also have a very similar cage if not that exact one. I love it for my finches as well -- the really small ones seem to love the top area and I keep the towel covering it (over the lights) so it is always private for them up high there. :) Right now in my cage; I have a pair of Stars a pair of BCCB's a pair of Black Rumped Waxbills and 2 female orange cheeks

This is excellent for the smaller waxbills. Hard to find a cage with 3/8" spacing that is nice and big like this. And if you do decide to breed, then no worries about fledglings slipping out. :D
