Hi all,i've just lost my canary and i am planning to fill his cage with some zebra finches.I would like four, but my question is what sex should i keep,or doesn't it matter?I do not want to breed them. The cage is 30" tall and 20" wide,is this ok for four?
I also have a cockatiel, but he wont be in the same cage.
Thanks.

If you don't want to breed zebras don't get any females...The other members with zebras can advise you on how many....

I have had a male canary for almost a year now and I dearly love him! about a week ago I purchased some Societies and have been surprised at how different they are!! Zebra's are cute but don't make the mistake of thinking that they will be as calm or as quiet as a canary

So true about the noise of Zebras....I babysit my friends birds and she has 2 Zebras....They are way noisier than the others....The Green Singer has a beautiful song like a canary, and can be kept with Stars, Owls, or Parrot finch, if you wanted a variety....Keep all males and there is no bother about egg laying
