Couldn't Resist a Bigger Flight Cage!!!

Post by ranchnanny » Tue Jun 07, 2011 7:51 pm

I just got finished putting together the last flight cage got it decorated and have the birds in it and along comes this 6 ft. long flight cage on Craigslist #-o #-o This is the biggest flight I could possibly have in my little house and I don't want to build one. It measures 6 ft long x 2 ft wide x 3 ft high there is a stand with wheels and a shelf below. It was custom made by =D> t he Portland Cage Co. They were asking $200 with all of the crocks, dishes, seed cups, perches of all kinds. The cage itself is galvinized so it needs to be painted black to match the powder coated stand.
I went to see it today and just could not pass it up. They will deliver it on Sat. which I thought was very nice. I don't have a way to bring it home. My finches will love it!!! I will save my 35x35x72 hexagon cage for a while unless someone wants to buy it. Will post a photo on next post coming up.

I think it was a good deal as it was custom made for this gal. She inherited some finches and needed a larger cage asap so she called the Portland Cage Co. and they got it to her really quick. I may have to add a couple of smaller doors on the ends for easier access. I already bought the paint and the light fixture for it. And now I have to wait I hate that!! Hopefully the larger flight cage will help with the aggressiveness of my Zebra male.

Nice flight! Beats the 5' x 3' x 3' I made! I like the access.
