New Avairy

Hi...I'm new here. I've just started an indoor aviary that is 6ft long, 3ft deep, and 4ft high. I currently have a pair of Zebra Finches, and a Canary pair. The Canaries have built a nest, as have the Finches. One egg in the Finch nest, and I think the Female canary will lay soon. With the reproducing, how many birds can an aviary of this size accomodate? I have spare cages, so can remove young birds if necessary...

General rule of thumb would be 9-12 birds. I say general because it depends on the birds personality and whether they are breeding or not whether they need more room then that. You just have to keep an eye on them and watch for signs of trouble.
Here's a link to the page with a calculator to help with cage size:

Thanks Debbie!
This is my first really small bird venture. I have two Budgies, a Linnie, and an Amazon parrot. The little guys are so relaxing to watch...
