Wood stain and Finches

Post by stumblebum » Fri Sep 14, 2007 8:41 pm

Hiya, I'm new to finches and am in the process of building a cage. I'm using a wood frame with linoleum tile floor and backing for easy cleaning and a little splatter control. I was wondering if I can stain the frame before adding the wire, and if so should I wait a certain amount of time before putting finches in the cage?

hi
it would be advisable to use water based stain or wood paint as it will not hurt the birds and you will not have to wait so long for it to dry i have painted the inside and outside of my aviary with water based wood /fence paint and i have had no fatalities!

ken
you can always tell a yorkshireman, but you cant tell him much
