I like it =D> =D> =D>
$2 each at the dollar store 8) These are actually rubber bath mats 8) No where for them to get claws stuck, and all I have to do to clean the floors of the aviary is pull out the drawer a little ways, pull on the mats and switch. =D> Soak the dirty ones, dry them out and they`re ready for the next use =D> I have also started using them on the bottoms of some of my cages.

I noticed when buying the tub mats, some have a very strong plastic smell. Did you air yours out or soak in vinegar first? They do make PVC free mats and shower liners.

I did soak them and then let them air dry. I have had them in storage now for about 3 weeks, just waiting for the right moment to set them up. Now I wish I had done it sooner =D>

Well, aren't you the clever little bird keeper :D
I use to use the plastic placemates and rubberized outdoor table clothes, similar but I bet the bathmats hold up better over time.
Maybe I will just have to try this myself ...stealing this idea:wink:

Is there a brand name you are using? Wonder if the heavy rubber shelf liners (in a roll) would work also.

Bet you could rinse and toss the mats in the washer and hang dry in the sun.

They don`t really have a brand name on them :( imported by the dollar store.

I have tried those rubber shelf liners Cindy, the problem was that even the shortest nails seemed to get caught. [-X

They have the ones that are solid, clear and thick. I have a roll...I'l try it and see.

I wonder if you get the wider one (if they have them) and it curves up the side of the cage if it would contain some of the mess that genreally finds it's way to the floor? worth checking into....Thanks Janine!
