Broken Bird Cage :(

My hanging bird cage that I have been saving for the finches that I hope to aquire in the near future has met it's end I was keeping it in my garage because it was empty, and one day I go out there to find that stand was exactaly as i left it but the plastic roof had cracked and the only thing still attatching it to the stand was the swing in the center of the cage. The swing was able to fit through the cracks in the roof so the cage is now dangling from a swing attatched to the stand. I guess the cage was worn out and just broke, or maybe the sudden cold weather caused the plastic to become brittle and crack. I'm just glad there were no birds in the cage! Well, I guess this brings me back to square one looking for a cage

That is sure bad luck for you FinchGirl. Consider checking out your local CraigsList for cages in the Pet section.

I found a few small cages on CL for transporting that were like new and very inexpensive.

I agree with the "bigger and better" idea I'm sure I will be able to get a great deal on craigslist and I can probably sell the stand since it is entirely undamaged and in perfect condition
