A New Flight Taking Flight!!!!

My neighbour brought this over last night
to see if I like what he started!
I love it! He is getting more wood this weekend
and we will work on it.
To say I am happy, would be an understatement!
As I do not have the carpenter gene,
I am so glad I have someone to do this for me!
I will have to get him a big bottle of Scotch!!

I'll pay your neighbor and you can send me a bottle of Glenlivet 25 for my Hubby's Christmas present. Fair trade?

Congrats on the new flight!! Maybe if I buy my Hubby a bottle of Scotch (and make him drink it) he'll let me turn his office into a bird room. I'd have to move quickly though....the next day may not go over so well.

Nancy, your post was cracking me up!!!  =D>

I would love to have a neighbor like that. My husband and I will be building a "cage" for our A/C-heating unit outside this weekend, because chipmunks started eating away on the cables and some switchboard or something. I wish I had a neighbor who builds that for us. And it doesn't even have to be as fancy as your flight cage...
Walk-in aviary with Waxbills (6 Cordon Bleu, 3 Orange Cheek, 3 Black-rumped, 1 Lavender, ), 1 European Goldfinch, 4 Gouldians, 2 Spice Finches, 6 Owl Finches, 4 Budgies and 2 male Button Quail.
I also have 2 parrotlets, 3 dogs, 1 snake and 3 freshwater fishtanks.

I am seriously considering it now - been planning since I made the last post...I would have at least two days to get the office all set up. The first day, he would probably help me and the second he wouldn't be able to get outta bed to even complain. By the third day, when he's feeling better, it will be too much work to undo or put back the way it was. Might catch a little hell....but then I'll just blame it on the Scotch....and say "but, HONEY....your the one that said it was a great idea....you don't remember?" :^o :^o

Am I a horrible wife or what?

=P~ =P~ =P~

No, you're not a horrible wife at all... If I offered my husband a bottle of Glenlivet he wouldn't call me that either!

Well then, the decision has been made, 100% of the people (meaning the two of you) agree that it's a great idea. I'll let you know how it goes...if it goes badly...you most likely won't be hear from me.

Hope to be posting pictures of my new "bird room" soon. [-o<

Haha I'm loving this idea... might just have to try it out as well. Only problem is my hubby doesn't drink that much anymore so I'd probably have to spike his drink with something stronger :-" :-$
Owls, Goulds, European Goldfinch, Red Belly Siskins and Zebs... For now...

I talked to my neighbor and gave him some more money for materials.
He likes Jack Daneils like I do!
So I'll get him a 40 pounder bottle,
(40 ounces-Canadian slang) and of course one for me, lol lol!!
I will keep taking pictures of the progress and keep posting!
