Wirenet Aviary for Zebras

Post by pradeepcec » Mon Dec 05, 2011 2:30 am

Hi Guys,

I am planning to build a wirenet indoor aviary for my finches. Here are the specifications,

Shape : Triangle base
Height : 36inch
Triangle dimenstions : 24inch x 24inch x 24inch

I would be placing this aviary at the corner of my living room.

Any specific things that I need to keep in mind before I start constructing the same? Also any suggestions for improving the designs are most welcome :)

I would be keeping my zebras inside it.

This will not fit in, as I need a right angle so that the cage fits the corner. So may be I need to think of a better dimension :^o

Let's see if I can still do the math... :D If you can use 24 by 24 inches in the corner, the front would be 34 inches?

The only thing that comes to mind is that the corners of the triangle are pretty useless to the birds. The cage would obviously not be as big as a 34 inch long and "normal" shaped cage.

I guess it all comes down to how much room you really have and if it wasn't more feasible to create a normal shaped cage and put it in the corner, which means you'll need to use more room on one wall, unless you make one that's not rectangular but square...
Walk-in aviary with Waxbills (6 Cordon Bleu, 3 Orange Cheek, 3 Black-rumped, 1 Lavender, ), 1 European Goldfinch, 4 Gouldians, 2 Spice Finches, 6 Owl Finches, 4 Budgies and 2 male Button Quail.
I also have 2 parrotlets, 3 dogs, 1 snake and 3 freshwater fishtanks.

I get 34 inches also.
I still remember my high school geometry.

Good then, I have two people getting 34 inches so that should be right :)

But yes, I want to give another thought before building a triangle one.

May be a square one.
