When I needed plexiglass cut a certain way once I got it at a normal glass place, that type that sells window glass etc. They cut it to exactly the size I needed and didn't charge me for any excess. I've read it's really difficult to cut, so I didnt even attempt it. If you have to buy special tools just for one time use it's not worth doing it yourself.

Most hardware stores will be able to cut the plexiglass for you, and also explain the different types available (some are of a higher quality and cost twice as much, but are more durable). I have cut plexiglass many times with a sharp box cuter by scoreing it over and over and then snapping it, then takeing a sanding block and dulling the sharp edge ( it can be very sharp)--also it is very easy to slip with the box cuter and make a wrong cut, i use a piece of metal as a guide while scoreing, and wear leather gloves---probably much easier to let the store cut it for you, as they more than likely have the proper tools, because many people replace broken glass with plexiglass these days, particularly in storm doors wear children may break the glass.

One thing about drilling plexiglass is, try not to apply to much pessure to the drill because the plastic can crack pretty easy.

There are very specific methods fr cutting plexiglass. I lost the previous bookmarks I had, so give me a day to try to find them again. I have some I will be using for my own aviary, and I picked it up from Totem building supplies - Cheaper than Home Depot.

I'll try to post some links for you by later this afternoon :)
