This a good cage ?

Post by Cath1068 » Fri Jan 06, 2012 9:00 am

Welllllll my hubby has decided that he is " in love " with my bccb boy and he is letting me get a big cage so I can breed these and my gouldians. Does anyone have this cage and if so how do you like it ? Also is this a good price with free shipping or do you know of a site that has it cheaper ? I am also now in the market for another gouldian male and bccb female...... :D

I just want the best for my babies and I had no idea that hubby would actually fall in love with my little colorful jewels. I really gotta find another bccb cuz he is trying soooooooo hard to woo my gouldian hen. He sings to her, tries to feed her, cleans her and I caught him with grass in his mouth by her......LOL

I have one of these cages and love it. I did a search for this cage, and I was shocked at how much the price has gone up. Here is a better price, and when I went through the cart checkout process up to actually ordering it, it still said free shipping. I would call their 800 number to confirm that. If it is truly free shipping, this is a very good price, though I have not ordered from this company before.

I have this one. super cage. I bought it brand new (but un-assembled) on Craig's List for $100. Took me 4 hours to put it together. Love the cage.

I do really like this cage. I have 2 of the single units. I wish they had feeder doors so you did not have to disturb so much to feed (depending on the feeders and waterers you use).

I have the single version of this as well, and it houses 4 zebras, with relatively few disputes. It is a nice sturdy cage; i think you would be pleased with it.

The important part of this thread though is that your husband gave you the okay to go ahead and GET MORE BIRDS!!! =D> =D> =D> =D>

I breed my birds in individual breeder cages, rather than in a community cage. That way I control which birds mate with which bird. It also keeps peace around the nest.

Mine is actually an HQ double flight, and when I bought it, they did have four feeder doors across the front. I can hang seed hoppers or bathtubs on those feeder doors, so I can service them from the outside. But I see on ads now that there are no longer feeder doors, guess they dropped them. I love the fact that you can slide the divider in and have all the birds on one side while you clean the other.

After much surfing today I found a better cage with more head room then the original one I posted. This is the one I am gonna get. It is still free shipping and this one also has a removable divider.

My uncle has it but he stacked one on the other, no idea how though. He has four lovebirds in them.

I also have the HQ version of this double flight cage and purchased from Birds Comfort. What I like best about this cage is that each side has two larger doors in the front. For me it works really well. I feel I'm less likely to have a bird get out since they seem to fly up when startled so I use the bottom door to work through. It's been awhile since I was searching for a cage but I think that on Birds Comfort website you paid for the shipping but while searching I found the same cage by a seller on ebay and when I checked the info on the cage it was from Birds Comfort but their ebay store had a different name and on their ebay store they were offering free shipping. Now I'm curious, Ill have to go search ebay and see if I can find that store again.

I have two of the A&E Double Flight cages and love them. In fact, I'm saving to buy another one. Enjoy!
