Unfortunately they have both passed and we have decided not to get anymore quail at this stage... although I would like some Californians...Magnificent BirdMan wrote: What happened to the quail? That is one awesome aviary.

I had java finches in my aviary with zebra, society, and gouldians. I ended up taking them out because they would go into the other nest boxes and they smashed some newborns and pushed one out on their way out the nest. Other than that I had no problems with them interacting with the other finches. They were just nest robbers in 4' x 8' walk in aviary and I had plenty enough nest for all.

I have started extending the Pheasantasiam and building an attached smaller aviary for a pair of Turks. Will try and get a few pics up in the next few days.
