what is better white wire or black? Black shows more dust and poop, but how does white compare?

White is fine for a cage colour (you don't see poop or dust quite as much as on the black cages) but birds typically show up better inside a black cage. IMHO

love the cage, but then again I might be biased. My cage is 9 feet long, 3 feet tall and 2 1/2 feet wide. We have it split into two sections so that one section takes up 2 feet of length and the other is 7 feet long. I have a connecting door between the two sections so that I can transfer birds without having to take them out.

I love connecting cages to make for flights...never 10 foot of them though. I usually do 2 together for 5 foot. I then will stack more on top

We build the stands out of 2x4s. You can add a strip in the open space where the trays don't meet. I don't bother because these are located on a balcony where the floor can be hosed down.

Thats really neat! I have the same cage, thats half the size, but I bought it like that from the beginning... 5 foot long. All though I got tired of all the seeds every where, so Im not using it. Any thoughts on how to seed profing it?

yea that is the one thing that worries me is the seeds and mess everywhere with this type of cage I already sweep twice a day.... what are you using now?

Yes, it was a mess, at least for me. I still have to vaccum at least once a day, but its mutch better since I built my own cages. I really like these... looks nice and are at a resonable price. But Its a lot less messy with the sides and back covered. But maby you could cover the sides and back with fabric or something?

The panels without wire I just wipe with a damp cloth, spray some water on, with a milde soap and whipe, They usualy dont get that soiled... I built in a big "tray" to pull out and I change the newspaper a couple of times a week. Every other week I do the heavier cleaning, wiping all the walls, cleaning the pearches and the fake plants. I find it easier to clean than wire cages, especially the ones with wire bottoms. I still get seads on the floor, but its just in the front of the cage, not so mutch behind. At least my birds stay in the cage when I have the big door open, if I stand in front of it. They retreat to the upper top of the cage so its quite easy to reach every corner without having them escaping. I found that it helped a lot that I decided to paint the cage, mutch easier to wipe of any dirt. I like it alot and have never regret building it
