Roll-down shades

Has anyone ever used the cheap roll-down window shades as 'bird blockers' on their aviaries? I'm considering them on the various aviary designs I've come up with. On a longer aviary with doors on both sides, I looked at putting one in the middle so I could pull it down and trap the birds on one side while I cleaned the other. Then just pull it up, go to the other side, and repeat the process. Or on a smaller aviary, put one in front of the door so I can roll it down when I switch out food and water.

I've never heard of anyone doing that, but I think it sounds like a great idea! especially for dividing an aviary.

I installed those but where I live it is sunny most of the time... these cheap plastic roll ups did not hold up very well... mostly the string that held them together...between toe sun and salt air they broke quickly.
I bought nylon shower curtains and added gromets to the bottom. Strung them on poles and I can just slide them opened or close with ease... they are holdong up very well and keep the blowing rain out also...after all, shower curtains repel water
