Cheap Swings for Your Cages

Post by Sally » Sat Dec 01, 2007 3:08 am

On another forum, someone mentioned that they take grapevine wreaths, take them apart, then put pieces back together with florist tape to make vines to hang in their flights--said it looks very natural, and the birds love it. I needed more swings for my birds, so this gave me the idea to use these wreaths as swings. I got the 6" grapevine wreaths (I picked out ones that were made of bigger vines), cut off all the excess curlicues so the finches wouldn't catch their nails in them, and hung them up with twine. I think the wreaths were 59 cents. They look very natural in the cage, and the birds seem to love them.
