Best Material for Outdoor aviary?
I've been thinking lately what other type of floor material should I use for my outdoor aviary. At the moment I've been using tiles which is working pretty good, but I would like to give the aviary a more natural feel.

I have heard others mention using river rocks. I think they allow decent drainage, but I'm not sure what sort of substrate you would put underneath.

One of my friends has a slightly slanted concrete floor for the aviary, and where the drop goes to, there is a bit of mesh for drainage... (only like 2 cm) After that, there is a ditch that slants downward (to the side) and is then filtered through a filter and is then used for watering plants (the filter is optional) But I'm not sure you'd want to redo your whole bird living space ;)

I use sandstone steps with a gardner cloth underneath and wire mesh around the bottom perimeter. I've thought about putting some type of layer of hay or other soft material for the possible tosslings etc.
