The new cage!

As some of you may have read, I was thinking about buying a new cage, an old terrarium. After hessitating a bit I went ahead and did it!
I moved my male goulds in today and they seam to really like it! It took them about half an hour to get used to the glas front, and now they swirl around avoiding the glas like they have never done anything else

I think it looks really neat! I love having them back in the livingroom, where I can look at them for hours :D

I have put a thermometer inside the cage to be able to monitor the temperature easy and so far it stays about 1-1.5 degrees Celsius higher than in our livingroom.

I was thinking of removing the big pearches and the shelves in the corners, but figured I would try to have it as it is for a while and the like sitting on the big perches. The shelves workes well as food stations.

Do you guys have any ideas on interior design? Any thoughts on things that would be neat?

my idea would be to remove the big perches...or leave one, and do some artificial vines and more greenery. could look like a little rainforest....or you could similate their natural environment. They key to decorating I have found is to keep things above the birds or they get filthy fast....or even around the outside of cage to frame it in. otherwise you will be cleaning the plants constantly then it is no fun!!! congrats on the new cage. :D

The BIG perch looks like it is set up for a front to back usage. That cage looks wider than deep (front to back) so a left to right flight pattern would give them more wing exercise. Although once you have them in there it becomes more difficult to make changes, you have to catch and remove them to do any work in the cage.
